Revenue Processing Assistant

Location: Headquarters, Washington, DC 
Supervisor: Fundraising Operations Manager                                                                                                                  

BASIC SUMMARY:

The responsibility of the Revenue Processing Assistant is to support Defenders revenue processing streams in a timely and accurate manner. Primary responsibilities include processing of in-house gifts, to include batching of checks for processing by caging company as well as daily processing of gifts for processing internally. The Assistant will work to streamline and continually improve processes and documentation related to his/her duties. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Retrieve and secure all gifts received in-house, daily.

  • Batch and send gifts for processing by our caging vendor, daily.  Serve as liaison with caging vendor ensuring receipt of gifts sent.

  • Deposit checks for in-house processing daily.  Update logs and support for use by Development and Marketing in coding revenue.  Serve as liaison to the Development and Marketing departments, assisting with questions about in-house check deposits.

  • Verify and oversee quality control of coding provided to ensure codes comply with Defenders business rules.

  • Enter all in-house deposit revenue data into CRM database

  • Assist Fundraising Operations Manager in reconciliation of revenue data from multichannel platforms.

  • Assist with QC and upload of daily revenue data files to CRM database.

  • Create, QC and/or update revenue summary reports to internal stakeholders.

  • Assist Fundraising Operations Manager in monthly and yearly financial reconciliation and fiscal closing processes.

  • Provide interdepartmental support for revenue data consistency via data QC, campaign analysis, operational benchmarking, etc.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s (B.A./B.S.) degree or equivalent in related discipline  

  • Experience: 2+ years of relational database experience with an understanding of both off-line and on-line systems.  2+ years of financial data processing experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

  • Database administrative experience (SQL) a plus, but not necessary.

SALARY 

$45,000 Annually/ Max
