Areas of Expertise: Grassroots Organizing
Deanna Noël joined Defenders in June 2016, bringing eight years of grassroots organizing experience in the environmental community. Deanna is responsible for the strategic development and management of Defenders grassroots advocacy program. She works to elevate public support for wildlife conservation and mobilize citizen advocates on behalf of Defenders federal priority issues, including defense of our federal environmental laws and system of public lands. Prior to joining Defenders, Deanna managed the grassroots phone canvass for Clean Water Action, mobilizing constituent support for the Clean Water Act, improving protections for kids from toxic chemicals, and fighting climate change by stopping new fossil fuel projects. She holds a B.A in Environmental Justice & Human Rights from St. Olaf College.
