Quinn Read directs Defenders of Wildlife’s work to protect imperiled wildlife and their habitats in the Northwest, and oversees field staff in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Quinn grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and her conservation career started as a teenager volunteering for the Tahoma Audubon Society. Her background is in environmental law and cleantech business development. Prior to joining Defenders, Quinn worked as the Wildlife Program Coordinator for Oregon Wild. At both the University of Washington and Portland State University, she managed funding and development programs to bring green technologies from concept to reality.
Quinn holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington and a J.D. with an emphasis in environmental law from the University of San Diego School of Law.
