Juanita joined Defenders with 22 years of experience in the HR field, primarily working in non-profit organizations focused on combating homelessness and collaborating with various human services agencies.

In 2016, she decided to return to school to pursue her educational goals. After three years of hard work, Juanita graduated with an associate degree in 2017, followed by a bachelor's degree in business and economics with a concentration in human resource management. In her free time, she enjoys dancing to old-school house music.
