Dr. Lindsay Rosa oversees Defenders of Wildlife's Center for Conservation Innovation, where science, technology, and policy teams work together to find creative and pragmatic conservation solutions. The Center partners with others inside and outside of Defenders to make conservation data available and easily interpretable, so that policy makers and the public can make informed decisions about conservation. Lindsay draws on over a decade of experience in the conservation science community, leading interdisciplinary teams on issues related to biodiversity, climate change, and adaptive management. More recently, Lindsay led the application and advancement of best available science for the organization, including in our efforts supporting the conservation of at least 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030.

Prior to joining Defenders, she served as faculty at Middlebury College and as a lead geospatial data manager for the State of Vermont. She earned a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science from Colby College and a Masters degree and Ph.D. in Natural Resources and the Environment from the University of Connecticut.
