Sarah Poole is the Compliance Specialist at Defenders of Wildlife, where she ensures the organization meets the requirements for all state solicitations, state annuity registrations, and other various filings while also managing the contracts database. Since joining in June 2022, she has taken pride in helping streamline processes that support Defenders’ mission and her colleagues' impactful work.

Before joining Defenders, Sarah worked at Leadership Prince William, a local nonprofit in Manassas, VA. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Geography from the University of Mary Washington. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys exploring new places, connecting with new people, and playing a bad match of tennis with her twin brother. “What we lack in talent we make up with effort!”
