Mammals who live in and rely on the ocean for food and shelter are often grouped together as “marine mammals.” Some spend their entire existence in the water, like manatees, whales and dolphins. Others are adapted for and will spend most of their life in the water but also spend sometime on land, like walrus, seals and sea otters.
