#ActAgainstExtinction
Passed in 1973, the Endangered Species Act (ESA) is the most effective U.S. law for preventing extinction. Despite an impressive record of success, the ESA is constantly under attack and chronically underfunded. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the ESA, an opportunity to celebrate the progress made under this vital legislation and to continue our commitment to keeping it intact and strong.
"A national commitment to combating the biodiversity crisis must start with supporting and strengthening the Endangered Species Act. "
