The Trump administration has made building a border wall a top priority and now construction is happening along the Arizona border. More than 100 miles of wall is currently under construction that will cause devastating and irreversible damage to fragile lands, imperiled wildlife and borderland communities.


The Arizona border is home to threatened wildlife and plants like the ferruginous pygmy owl, Sonoran pronghorn and the unique organ pipe cactus. Land sacred to the Tohono O’odam Nation, who harvest saguaro fruit and perform their sacred salt ceremony in and around Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, is also under threat.


With construction contracts being awarded, it is more important than ever to express to Congress how destructive and dangerous a wall is to our border communities. Members of Congress, advocates and local communities will stand in opposition to a border wall   dividing these precious and sacred lands.


What: Rally to stop border wall construction and to protest any funding for border wall

Congressman Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ), local leaders and activists will also be in attendance.
