Paint Nights
Feeling creative? Tune in to the following recorded series to learn how you can make your own work of art! Each one has a follow along tutorial to show you the steps to build a wildlife picture.
Remember that you don’t have to follow these videos exactly - like the diversity of animals in nature, the beautiful thing about this activity is that different paintings don’t look completely alike. You can experiment with your art and add new colors or backgrounds to make it completely unique. Go wild and use your imagination!
Remote Defending
Remote defending was created as a way to provide our members with opportunities to defend wildlife while staying healthy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. While originally meant to help with ongoing stay at home orders, these resources can be used anytime you want to feel more connected to nature. Community science activities are meant to be shared with others – participate together with close family or friends, and help contribute to Defender’s mission of protecting native wildlife!
Why Should Care
Why You Should Care is a new explainer-style series that breaks down some of the complicated subjects that are tied to Defenders of Wildlife's mission in more detail. The following playlist frames the facts on current issues, their impacts on the surrounding environment, and any further action that needs to be taken towards reform.
Wild Times
Our news series that updates you on the Top 5 wildlife news stories for the month.
Endangered Species Act 101

Megan Evansen, our Conservation Science & Policy Analyst, explains every section of the Endangered Species Act in under 90 seconds. Each video uses example species to demonstrate how these protections make sure that listed animals are afforded the opportunity to recover.
