The Trump administration is moving quickly to industrialize one of our last untouched landscapes, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The heart of this refuge, the coastal plain, is an oasis for wildlife. The world’s most imperiled polar bear population, the Porcupine caribou herd, Arctic foxes and millions of birds all call this habitat home. The Arctic Refuge Protection Act (S. 2461) is important legislation that will protect the refuge from destructive oil and gas development.
