Sarah is a lifelong nature lover with roots among the live oaks, longleaf pines, and Atlantic Ocean in Southeastern North Carolina. 

Sarah manages business operations for Defenders' Alaska, California, Northwest, and Rocky Mountains and Great Plains programs. Prior to joining Defenders, she served as Associate Director of outreach programs at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City.

Sarah holds a bachelor's degree in business from Tulane University and a master's degree in international management from Northeastern University.
