Please contact your senators this week while they are back in their district offices and urge them not to let another month pass without taking action to pass comprehensive climate and energy legislation that helps move us away from our devastating dependence on oil toward a new, cleaner energy future.
Last summer the House took a leap forward by passing the American Clean Energy and Security Act which would cap carbon emissions, protect wildlife and natural resources from the impacts of climate change and help break our addiction to oil while transitioning our country into a clean energy future.
Unfortunately the Senate has yet to take action and time is running out.
