The Wood River Wolf Project combines a wide variety of nonlethal tools and methods to keep wolves away from livestock, minimizing livestock losses and building greater tolerance of wolves within the rancing community. The project has successfully decreased wolf depredation on the more than 10,000 sheep that graze in the Sawtooth Wilderness of central Idaho during the summer.
