Etsy for Animals (EFA), a group of 600+ independent artists, craftspeople and suppliers that combine their efforts to provide charitable relief to animals, has chosen Defenders of Wildlife as its September charity of the month.
Nicole Planchon, who nominated Defenders for the honor and sells her novelty fabric crafts at Etsy’s Brizel 4 the Animals shop, says this on the EFA blog:
“I am so thrilled that my nomination won Team EFA September’s Charity of the Month ! I think very highly of Defenders of Wildlife… value their philosophy & mission and most importantly that what they achieve makes a noteworthy and worthwhile historic impact in the realms of animal & wilderness advocacy work.”
Team EFA has put together several “treasuries”—collections of 16 items curated around a theme—including one inspired by the Gulf oil disaster. A percentage of the proceeds from the items in the At the Water’s Edge treasury will be donated to Defenders to help us help sea turtles, brown pelicans and other imperiled wildlife.
