What tracks will you leave behind?
Including a gift in your will or trust:
You can designate a gift of a certain amount or a percentage of your estate to Defenders using the following sample language: “I hereby give ______ (percentage, residuary share or specific amount or asset) to Defenders of Wildlife, 1130 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036.” Tax ID number: 53-0183181
You have the option to make your bequest unrestricted or direct it to a specific purpose.
We appreciate being informed of your meaningful commitment so that we have the opportunity to share our appreciation and welcome you into our Wildlife Legacy Society.
How it will benefit you and the wildlife you love:
A sentence or two in your will completes your gift and it’s easy to revoke if your situation changes.
Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
Your estate is entitled to an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction for bequests to Defenders.
You don't have to be wealthy to leave a lasting legacy. A bequest of any amount contributes to our ability to protect wildlife for future generations.
