Ashley joined Defenders in 2023 after eight years of video production in a number of capacities but working with nonprofits has always been her favorite. She previously worked at National Geographic Society and the Environmental Investigation Agency, at a creative agency in Seattle, and on a wildlife conservation television show called Wild Hope. She has a MA in Film and Video as well as a BA in Animal Behavior, Ecology and Conservation (so she is always happy to talk wildlife facts)!

When not working she loves hiking, camping, or any outdoor activity she can enjoy with her dog Olly and is involved in local community theater groups both onstage and off.
