Cherie has spent most of her career raising funds for organizations that help protect the planet’s wild species and places. She works closely with the philanthropists and other supporters in California and the Southwest who make Defenders’ work possible. A native Texan, Cherie now lives in Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts from Southern Methodist University.
