Jay comes to Defenders of Wildlife from the Gettysburg Foundation where he was the Director of Philanthropy working on historic preservation projects for America’s most significant battlefield.

Before that he was at the National Park Foundation raising funds on behalf of national parks across the country. Jay has a deep, abiding love of wilderness having grown up hiking, camping and fly fishing.  Jay is a graduate of William and Mary and George Washington University Law School.
