Beth Nichols serves as Defenders’ Vice President of Finance/CFO. Beth oversees Defenders’ finance team responsible for the budgeting and financial reporting functions, ensuring that Defenders’ accounting and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Prior to joining Defenders, Beth’s career focused on accounting in the non-profit sector. She began her career working in public accounting where she performed audits of DC area non-profits, and then worked with the accounting team at Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Beth earned a BS in Accounting with a minor in Environmental Studies from Ithaca College and earned her CPA license from the state of Maryland.
